Families can apply for free and reduced price meal benefits online. A new application must be submitted each year. For more information or need help with the process, call Nutrition Services at 651-458-6280.

Bus route information has been mailed to all parents and/or guardians. Those who did not receive route information or have a question regarding the bus stop location can find help online at www.sowashco.k12.mn.us or through the Route Change Hotline at 651-768-5310.
Shots & ImmunizationsDistrict 833 is a “NO SHOTS - NO SCHOOL” participant. Immunization requirements are available on the Department of Health website.

Low-cost vaccinations are available through the Minnesota Vaccines for Children (MnVFC) Program. Only people who meet MnVFC eligibility guidelines can get MnVFC vaccine. There is a $12 administration fee for each MnVFC vaccination, but no one who qualifies for MnVFC vaccinations will be turned away if they are unable to pay the cost. Back to School EventsIn preparing for the opening of the 2012-13 school year, parents and families are welcome to visit their schools or program for introductions to staff and to the buildings.
Other events are scheduled at the schools, including schedule pick up and school pictures at the secondary schools. Information about these opportunities is being shared through school websites. Schools will notify parents of pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students of start dates. Contact your school with questions.
The district has posted information on elementary school, special program and secondary school open houses.

- Sept. 3: Labor Day Holiday, no school
- Sept. 4: First day of school
- Oct. 18-19: Education MN Professional Convention Days, no school
