Brief: Car Rear-Ends District 833 School Bus

The incident happened near Military Road and Jamaica Avenue on Monday afternoon.

No one was injured Monday after a car crashed into the back of a District 833 school bus.

The incident happened just before 3:40 p.m. Monday near Military Road and Jamaica Avenue, a Cottage Grove officer told Patch.

Six students were being transported to either a practice or a game, according to Barb Brown, director of communications for South Washington County Schools.

The district was notified of the crash at about 3:45 p.m., Brown said.

Not sure if the two were connected. Got sent the photos. Asked the district about accidents, plural. And got the info above from a District 833 official and the Cottage Grove PD.

that could be a dangerous accident if speeds were higher. This is the reason why the current buses are flawed. The design poses a huge threat to lower, smaller cars. There's a reason why rear-engined buses are popular...
