College Grads, Scholars from Woodbury

Casey Kopp, a 2010 graduate, made the dean's list at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Canada. Kopp is majoring in history and philosophy.

Emi Phillips, of Woodbury, made the vice president's list at Oral Roberts University for the spring term 2012.

Lauren Yares, from Woodbury, a graduate of Hill-Murray High School, has been offered a Trustees Scholarship at Augustana College. In addition, Yares has been selected to receive a $2,500 travel stipend for an international study experience in Scotland during spring break 2013.

Michael Schaefer and John Skubic, both of Woodbury, earned academic honors for the spring 2012 semester at Purdue University.

Several students from Woodbury made the spring 2012 semester dean’s list (GPA of 3.75 or better) at St. Olaf College. They are:

Kevin Foss, a chemistry major. Foss is the son of Terry and Ann Foss.

Katherine Griffis, a dance major. Griffis is the daughter of Carey Griffis.

Alison McKeever, a social work major. McKeever is the daughter of James and Dawn McKeever.

Jennifer Tongen, an economics major. Tongen is the daughter of Scott and Patricia Tongen.

Miami of Ohio

E. Patrick O'Melia Tiesling, of Woodbury, graduated from Miami of Ohio in May. Tiesling received a BS in business.
