East Ridge High Lineman Headed to Play for National Champ Alabama

James "J.C." Hassenauer has made a verbal commitment to the Crimson Tide after standing out at a recent camp for offensive lineman in Tuscaloosa, AL.

Forget "Go Gophers" or "On, Wisconsin."

For East Ridge High School standout J.C. Hassenauer, the only chant he wants to hear is "Roll Tide!"

The Minnesota high school football star, who attended an offensive lineman camp at the University of Alabama earlier this month, received an offer from University of Alabama head coach Nick Saban over the weekend.

Hassenauer wasted little time in making a verbal commitment Monday to the defending national champions, according to an article posted last night by TideSports.com.

The 6-foot, 2-inch, 290-pound Hassenauer, who will start his senior season this August, was ranked as one of the top offensive linemen in Minnesota and the state's top center. He was a captain for the East Ridge High squad last season.
