A Look at Alzheimer's Disease from the Inside

Crossroads Church is hosting a brief workshop regarding Alzheimer's, presented by Earl Towner, a retired Army chaplain who has Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) and his wife Lynn, a RN with extensive knowledge of AD. The couple participated in Mayo Clinic research, divulging what the disease is like from the inside, and are one of four couples profiled in a video that examines the personal and societal implications of AD.

Earl and Lynn Towner will show clips from the video, tell more of their story and answer questions. Participants will receive guidelines on how to visit someone with Alzheimer’s, and will leave equipped with information to assist caregivers through day to day frustrations. Come and learn the impact that Alzheimer’s Disease has on the American health system, economy and spirit.
