Globe Hosts First Annual Dog Walk in Woodbury

The Globe University-Woodbury campus plans
to celebrate our furry friends by hosting a dog walk at a local park in Woodbury, Minn. The campus partnered with Wags and Whiskers, a local animal rescue organization dedicated to saving lives and finding homes for stray, abandoned and surrendered dogs in high kill shelters.

The walk, named Wags and Whiskers Walk in Woodbury,
will take place Saturday, August 18 at Edgewater
Park in Woodbury
. Check-in starts at 8:30 a.m. and the walk begins at 9:00 a.m. Free admission (donations welcome). Each participant will receive a free t-shirt and free refreshments provided by Liberty Mutual.

Those who don’t have a dog, but still wants to participate, make a donation (of any size) to Wags and Whiskers and walk one of their dogs.

All of the dogs at Wags and Whiskers are waiting in foster homes waiting to be adopted. The rescue is not funded by public funds nor does it receive many donations so they are dependent on adoption fees to keep operating. By donating or adopting you could make the difference and find a lost dog a home.
