King of Kings Adult Education invites the public to an afternoon with Dr. Bruce Forbes, starting at 1 p.m. on Dec. 12.
Forbes will discuss themes from his book, "Christmas: A Candid History." The book discusses the religious and secular history of Christmas from its pre-Christian roots through modern times as well as offering some ideas for reclaiming the joy and meaning of this beloved, yet often frustrating, season.
"It's for people who both love Christmas and are driven crazy by Christmas at the same time and want to understand why that is and what they can do about it," Forbes said.
