Local DFL and TakeAction Minnesota Health Care Event

DFL Senate District 56, along with TakeAction Minnesota, will present “The Affordable Care Act and Health Insurance Exchanges: Opportunities for a Healthier Minnesota,” a forum that will outline what citizens can expect under the new federal law and how it might work in Minnesota.

The presentation, another in the series of Community Conversations sponsored by the DFL, will be February 15 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Woodbury .  

Presenter Ann Marie Metzger said, “Major decisions are being made now about how federal health care reform will be implemented in Minnesota. These decisions will affect our state’s health care system for decades to come.”

She said the forum will focus particularly on the health insurance exchanges being established under the law and will also address the opportunities and challenges in the fight for affordable, high-quality healthcare for everyone in the state.

TakeAction Minnesota is a statewide community organization with the goal of organizing individuals to lead in their local communities, building coalitions that criss-cross the state and training and educating people to engage in public action.
