Free and Reduced Price Meals: A quick and easy way to apply for Free and Reduced price meal benefits is to do so online: http://www.sowashco.k12.mn.us/ss/food/public/AWEBSITE2010-11/FRappl/FRMain.htm. A new application must be submitted each year. If you have any questions or need help, call Nutrition Services at 651-458-6280.

Manage Your Child’s Meal Account: Go to http://www.paypams.com to pay online by credit card for your children’s school meals or visit http://www.sowashco.k12.mn.us, under Departments - Nutrition Services.

Transportation: Bus route information has been mailed to all parents and/or guardians. If you did not receive route information by Thursday, August 23, or if you have a question regarding the bus stop location you can find help online at www.sowashco.k12.mn.us or through the Route Change Hotline at 651-768-5310.

Shots & Immunizations: District 833 is a “NO SHOTS - NO SCHOOL” participant. Immunizations must be on file and up to date in order for a student to attend school.  Immunization requirements are available on the Department of Health web site at www.health.state.mn.us. Low cost vaccinations are available through the Minnesota Vaccines for Children(MnVFC) Program. Only people who meet MnVFC eligibility guidelines can get MnVFC vaccine. There is a $12 administration fee for each MnVFC vaccination, but no one who qualifies for MnVFC vaccinations will be turned away if they are unable to pay the cost. Mark your Calendar:

August 22,   6 – 7 pm – Any seventh or eighth grader new to Woodbury Middle School should meet in the media center for a brief orientation and tour of Woodbury Middle School.

August 22,   10 am to 7 pm  and August 23,   7 am to 10 am – Back to School Kick Off for seventh and eighth grade students and any sixth grade students who missed Camp 6. (Parents welcome and encouraged to join their child.)  Any sixth grader who attended Camp 6 is welcome to stop in on the above dates if they choose to.   

  • Pick up individual class schedule
  • Drop off emergency card and immunization info
  • Bring school supplies and place them in locker
  • Self-guided tours
  • Purchase phy ed t-shirts or shorts if desired ($20 a set and limited supply at this time)
  • Put money into their lunch account via cash or check
  • Pick up fall musical audition applications

August 29,   8 am to 12 noon – 6 Grade WEB (Where Everyone Belongs)  All sixth graders, whether they attended Camp 6 or not, are invited back to a morning of large and small group activities designed to address students’ needs and concerns as they transition to the middle school environment.  Transportation is provided and a bus route for August 29 WEB is available on the Woodbury Middle School Web Site:  http://www.sowashco.k12.mn.us/wms.

September 4 – First day of school.  Student hours are 7:55 am to 2:25 pm.
