Report: Judge Sends Woodbury HS Principal, District to Arbitration over Salary

But Linda Plante's discrimination complaint against the South Washington Schools will come first, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reported.

Woodbury High School Principal Linda Plante earns about $25,000 less than the principal at Park High School—and Plante and the South Washington County schools are now under a court order to enter arbitration over the pay gap, according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press

Plante went to court in February over the district's independent contract with Craig Paul, who was hired in July 2011 as interim principal of Park High School in Cottage Grove. ... Paul was paid about $25,000 more than the district's other principals, who are subject to its contract with the South Washington County Principals Association

Plante and Aaron Harper, principal of East Ridge High School in Woodbury, sent the district grievance letters saying Paul should have been subject to the same contract and that paying him more money constituted disparate treatment. They also made accusations of discrimination.
