Snapshot: East Ridge Play, Actor Earn Accolades

East Ridge High School’s one-act play, The Big Meal, by Dan LeFranc, was selected to represent Minnesota Thespians at the International Thespian Festival in Lincoln, Neb., in late June.  

Also, East Ridge junior Katherine Spicuzza received a “superior” rating in the National Individual Events Showcase, and earned an invitation to the festival in Lincoln for her solo musical performance of Gimme, Gimme from Thoroughly Modern Mille.

The Minnesota Thespian Festival, celebrating excellence in high school theater, was held on Feb. 17 at Chanhassen High School and Feb. 18 at the Guthrie Theater.
