Woodbury Schools Closed Monday Due to Extreme Cold

District to Mull Closing Schools on Tuesday.

With subzero temperatures in the forecast for Monday, the South Washington County School District, as well as other districts, have canceled classes.

The district also will continue to monitor weather conditions for Tuesday and will notify families as soon as possible on Monday if there is a decision to cancel school again.

The school districts announced the closings Sunday afternoon. Rochester, Winona and Austin schools announced Friday they would close Monday due to the cold.

On Jan. 6 Gov. Mark Dayton closed all Minnesota schools because of subzero temperatures, the first decision of its kind since 1997.
