Carleton College

Daniel Hamalainen, of Woodbury, has been admitted to Carleton College as a member of the Class of 2016. He is the son of James Hamalainen and Michelle Maloney. Daniel is a graduate of Hill-Murray High School.

UW-Stout

Several students from Woodbury earned the Chancellor's Award for the spring 2012 semester at the University of Wisconsin-Stout. The award is presented to students who have a grade point average of 3.5 or above.

Stout Scholarships

Raquel Halfen received the Philip H. McGuirk Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management Scholarship. Halfen is majoring in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management.

Hilary Wilde received the Dorothy Z. Bergman Endowed Scholarship. Wilde is majoring in Good and Nutritional Sciences.

Georgia Institute of Technology

Rochester Institute of Technology

Isabelle Cariveau, of Woodbury, has enrolled in Rochester Institute of Technology's National Technical Institute for the Deaf, the nation's first and largest technological college for deaf and hard-of-hearing students. She is a 2012 graduate of Coon Rapids High School and the daughter of Elizabeth Matthews.

Rochester Community and Technical College

Mary Bergman, of Woodbury, graduated from Rochester Community and Technical College at the end of summer session 2012. Bergman received an Associate in Arts for Liberal Arts and Sciences, with High Honors.

UW-River Falls

Joe Wood, of Woodbury, is one of 100 student-athletes on the 2012 football roster at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.

Jessica Bertrand, of Woodbury, is one of 23 student-athletes on the 2012 volleyball roster at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.

Denison University

Natalie Lugg, a Denison University student from Woodbury, was studying off-campus for the fall 2012 semester. Lugg, a member of the class of 2014, is studying with the Danish Institute for Study Abroad Program in Denmark.

University of Minnesota, Morris

Rachel Haile, of Woodbury, will perform in the University of Minnesota, Morris’ 2012 Carol Concert, 'Twas the Night Before Christmas.

Taylor Montbriand, of Woodbury, has been accepted to and has chosen to attend the University of Minnesota, Morris. Montbriand, a 2013 graduate of East Ridge High School will attend Morris beginning in the fall of 2013.

University of Delaware

Benjamin Sampson, of Woodbury, is now a student at the University of Delaware.

Bethel University

Matthew Brocker, son of Deborah and Mike Brocker of Woodbury, and Courtney Brumm, daughter of Fred and Claudia Brumm of Woodbury, will perform in the 56th Bethel University Festival of Christmas, Oh How Joyfully! An International Festival.

McDaniel College

McDaniel College sophomore Joshua Meltzer, of Woodbury, will perform in the College Band Concert Dec. 7.
