College Grads, Scholars from Woodbury

Drake University

Rebekah Schmidt, of Woodbury, made the spring semester dean’s list at Drake University, with a 3.85 GPA. She was also honored as Missouri Valley Conference Pitcher of the week at one point this year. She is expected to pitch against Alabama, the reigning NCAA national champions in softball, this upcoming season (2013) in Drake's non-conference season opener.  (PHOTOS)

Emily Wilkins, of Woodbury, made the dean’s list.

Kristin Huffman, of Woodbury, graduated from Drake University at the conclusion of the 2012 spring semester with a bachelor of science in computer science and a bachelor of arts in writing.

Lauren Knutson, of Woodbury, graduated from Drake University at the conclusion of the 2012 spring semester with a bachelor of fine arts in theatre/acting.

Washington University

Kyusik Kim, of Woodbury, was named to the dean's list for the spring 2012 semester at Washington University in St. Louis. Kim is enrolled in the university's College of Arts & Sciences.

Villanova

Philip Burnham, from Woodbury, was named to the dean's list at Villanova University for the spring 2012 semester. Burnham is studying physics in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

Kansas

Four students from Woodbury made the 2012 honor roll for the spring 2012 semester at the University of Kansas. They are:

  • Katherine Benson, a graduate of Hill-Murray School, who is a junior in pre-nursing.
  • Matthew Broshat, a graduate of Hill-Murray School, who is a sophomore in marketing.
  • Michael Broshat, a freshman who graduated from Hill-Murray School.
  • Emily Strachan, a graduate of , who is a sophomore majoring in percussion.
Bethel University

Several students from Woodbury graduated from Bethel University in St. Paul following the spring 2012 semester:

  • Carrie Adamic earned a BA in art. Adamic is the daughter of Joel Adamic from Woodbury.
  • Anya Filipiak earned a BS in accounting and finance. Filipiak is the daughter of David and Kristi Filipiak from Woodbury.
  • Kayla Heiser earned a BA in business. Heiser is the daughter of Brian and Jody Heiser from Woodbury.
  • Olivia Mann of Woodbury earned a BA in business. Mann is the daughter of Mark and Nance Mann from Woodbury.
  • Matthew Pautsch earned a BA in media communication. Pautsch is the son of Mark and Jeannie Pautsch from Woodbury.
  • Sarah Petrich earned a BA in youth ministry. Petrich is the daughter of Bob and Sandy Petrich from Woodbury.
  • Samuel Porter earned a BA in international relations. Porter is the son of Mark and Jane Porter from Woodbury.
  • Zachary Schlegel earned a BS in exercise science. Schlegel is the son of Ronald and Lesley Schlegel from Woodbury.
  • Alison Smith earned a BS in nursing. Smith is the daughter of Douglas and Kristine Smith from Woodbury.
Michigan Tech

Two students from Woodbury graduated from Michigan Tech on April 28, 2012. Steven Brandner earned a bachelor of science in environmental engineering. Travis King earned a bachelor of science In biological sciences.
