East Ridge Legion Tops Forest Lake 8-5
East Ridge will face either Stillwater or Eastview at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
The East Ridge American Legion baseball team stayed alive in the District 3 tournament with a 8-5 win over Forest Lake on Friday.
The win over Forest Lake ensures East Ridge will play another game in the double-elimination tournament. After losing to top-seeded Burnsville in the first round, East Ridge has defeated Faribault and Forest Lake and sits two wins away from a state tournament berth.
Their next test will be against either Stillwater or Eastview on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Alimagnet Park in Burnsville. Stillwater and Eastview will play at 7 p.m. Friday night, with the winner advancing to the district championship game and the loser being sent to the losers bracket.

If East Ridge wins at 10 a.m. on Saturday, the squad will play at 4 p.m. Saturday at Alimagnet Park for a shot at one of the district’s three state berths.
