East Ridge High School head baseball coach Brian Sprout is set to have his jersey retired at St. Olaf where he was a three-time conference MVP and two-time All American.
East Ridge High School head baseball coach Brian Sprout is set to have his No. 28 jersey retired at St. Olaf, where he was a three-time conference MVP and two-time All American, according to a post by Mike Ludwig on the St. Olaf College Baseball website.
The event was originally scheduled for Sunday, but it was moved to April 28 because of bad weather.

A two-time captain, Sprout was a twice an All-America selection, a three-time MIAC MVP and a four-time all-region and All-MIAC selection. He is the program's career leader in average (.408), hits (240), runs (201), at bats (574), home runs (39), triples (15), and doubles (58); and has the single-season records in hits (74), home runs (13) and triples (7).
