'Winter Camping' at Lake Elmo Park Reserve

Washington County Parks will feature Fred Boulay in a program titled "Winter Camping" Sunday, Jan. 2, from 1-2:30 p.m. at the Lake Elmo Park Reserve.

Go out and about with Fred Boulay. He is an expert on winter camping and having fun while out there. At the Jan. 2 winter camping program, participants will learn the skill of survival. These skills include wearing proper clothing, and using equipment, first aid, and shelter. This program takes place both indoors and outdoors, so dress for the weather conditions.

Boulay will be teaching a second program Feb. 13. This program will focus on winter camping and the topic of fire and food. Learn how to make fire using different tools and fuels, and after the fire is started, Boulay will share some of his favorite winter camping recipes.
