A young East Ridge tennis team put up a gallant effort, but lost to the Ponies 6-1 Thursday afternoon at Stillwater Area High School.

Junior Maddie Blake pulled off the Raptors one victory by beating Savannah Johnson (5-7) (6-4) (11-9) in three sets.
The Raptors lost 7-0 to Mounds View on Tuesday, but topped intra-district rival Park 5-2 last week.
