New Life Academy Rolls To 13-0 Win In State Quarters
The Eagles will face unbeaten KMS in the Class A semifinals at 3 p.m. today.
The softball team steamrolled past Osakis on Thursday in the Class A quarterfinals, topping the unbeaten Silverstreaks 13-0 at Caswell Park in Mankato.
The win sets up a semifinal matchup against Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunberg at 3 p.m. this afternoon (June 9). With a win against KMS, the Eagles will secure a spot in the state title game with hopes of winning their fourth straight crown.
Against Osakis (23-1), Lauren St. John went 4-for-4 with two runs and two RBIs to lead the team. Pitcher Rebekah Schmidt picked up the win, allowing two hits and no runs while striking out 11 in the game.

The Eagles (22-4) scored two in the bottom of the first, five in the third and six in the fifth.
NLA must go through another undefeated team in KMS (22-0) if it hopes to reach the state championship.
