Here's what Berget had to say about the event:

Red Bull was a fabulous host and everyone had a great time! USA was heard chanted throughout the crowd numerous times, American flags were flying everywhere and 115,000 people had a blast! 

These skaters are incredible athletes. I talked with one of the Red Bull video crew who explained the better athletes in this sport were both skaters and downhill skiers. You can tell who the skiers were as they went over the jumps especially—skiers moved into a tuck position more readily and their legs had that "give" to them that helps them maintain contact with the ice rather than bounce off of it.

For "fun" at a break point during the night, a dozen or so skaters did the course "backwards" so they were scaling the hills rather than flying downhill at speeds up to 40 mph.

For folks that want to see it next year, I would recommend going during the preliminary rounds Thursday or Friday as there are fewer people—of course, there's less hype, but you can get much closer to the track and the US skaters need your encouragement to succeed in those early rounds just as much!
