Woodbury Girls Basketball Coach to Retire
After 32 years of coaching and 34 teaching, Dave Preller plans to hang it up at the end of the season.
After a 32-year coaching career at both Park and high schools, Royals girls basketball coach Dave Preller has announced that he will be retiring from both teaching and coaching at the end of this year.
“It’s time. I’ve been fortunate and owe a lot to District 833, the Woodbury community and my family," Preller said in a press release. "There is absolutely no way I could have enjoyed this career without an incredible wife and family.”
Heading into the sectional playoffs, Preller has amassed a career record of 531-142, with 16 conference titles, 10 section crowns and three state championships—the last coming in 2004.
