The girls basketball team cruised to its second victory of the season Wednesday night, pounding North St. Paul 74-47.
The Royals' 14 three pointers proved too much for the overmatched Polars in the first round of the annual Woodbury four-team tournament.
Junior Kristina White had 15 points, while senior Kayla Hinton and sophomore Kalley Hakes each contributed 11.

The Royals, whose season record moves to 3-5, meet Somerset (Wis.) on Thursday night in the second game of the tournament.

The schedule of games Thursday is as follows: WHS JV game at 5:15 p.m.; WHS varsity game at 8 p.m.
The event is highlighted by a visit from the "Big Man in Red" at 7:30 p.m. tonight in the main gym.
