Woodbury Girls Golf Heads To State
The Royals begin play at the Class AAA meet today at 11:30 a.m.
The Woodbury girls golf team is back in the Class AAA state tournament today at Bunker Hills in Coon Rapids, and the Royals will be searching for their first title since 2008 during the two-day event.
It is Woodbury’s 13th trip to the state tournament, which tees off at 11:40 a.m.
A year ago as a junior, Mary Sweeney competed individually at the state meet and came home with a top-10 finish. She compiled a two-day total of 161, good enough for a ninth place finish with Edina’s Aubrie Nielson and Grace Gilmore. Sweeney tees off at 11:49 a.m. today.
