Camping in the City: Woodbury’s Tent Event

Check out photos from the fifth annual Carver Lake Camp Out, held June 22-23.

Woodbury’s fifth annual Camp Out was held over the weekend.

It's “an opportunity for families to relive—or experience for the first time—how much fun it is to spend a night sleeping under the stars.”

Beginning the evening of June 22 and running through the next morning, the event included swimming, canoeing, crafts, a campfire and, of course, S’mores.

Cool idea. My oldest, who is 4, loves camping. Another close, but nice little camp site is right across 94 at Lake Elmo Park Reserve. It's not the North Shore by any means, but it's clean and has great things to do with kids like fishing, hiking, swimming and a couple of nice playgrounds.
