In Woodbury, Meet Your Neighbors, Meet the Smurfs

Movie Under the Stars event returns to Woodbury.

After a one-year hiatus, Woodbury is bringing back its outdoor movie night.

Movie Under the Stars returns Friday, Sept. 7, at in Woodbury.

The Smurfs will be shown on a large inflatable screen. Admission is free, and while concessions won’t be sold, people can feel free to bring their own popcorn and treats, said Elizabeth Owens, recreation technician with the city’s parks department.

Previous events drew 800-1,000 people to the park for the movies, she said.

“It was a really successful event for the years that we did it,” Owens said.

Also, the city is asking people to bring toiletries, which will be donated to the .

The event is sponsored by CorTrust Bank.
