Want to Get Involved in the Washington County Fair? Here’s How

The Washington County Fair is scheduled for Aug. 1-5 at the fairgrounds near Lake Elmo.

For those looking to get involved in this year’s Washington County Fair, organizers recently sent out a list of ways to participate.

Exhibits

Gardening, photography, crafts, needlework… people can bring their exhibits to the Washington County Fair to participate in the friendly “Fair” competition. 

Exhibits will be accepted from 4-9 p.m. Monday, July 30, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 31.

Talent Shows

All amateur entertainers are invited to audition for the Washington County Fair Amateur Talent Shows. There is no fee or pre-registration required to audition.

Auditions will be held at the Washington County Fairgrounds in the Park Pavilion:

  • 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday, July 12
  • 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 14

There are three divisions of competition:

  • Pre-Teen Division: Contestants 12 years of age and younger
  • Teen Division: Contestants 13-18 years of age
  • Open Division: Open to contestants of all ages

Finalists from the auditions will perform at the Washington County Fair. For more information call 651-257-4470.

Business Interests

The Washington County Fair invites all interested business owners to exhibit at the fair, which is expected to draw more than 52,000 people over the five days.
