Writers Workshop Planned at Woodbury Library

Author Alice Ozma will be on hand for the roundtable discussion.

The R.H. Stafford Library in Woodbury will host a “Writers Roundtable Workshop” at 3 p.m. Friday, June 28.

Author Alice Ozma will be on hand for the event, “an opportunity for aspiring writers to gather, share their work, talk about the writing process and get tips” from the best-selling author.

Ozma wrote The Reading Promise: My Father and The Books We Shared, the story of the 3,218 consecutive nights her father spent reading to her, from the time she was in elementary school until she started college.

Ozma—who graduated from Rowan University with highest honors and is now the national manager of reading programs and events for Scholastic Book Fairs—had her book chosen as a selection for Washington County’s 2012 One County One Book Reading program.

Those who attend are urged to read her book before the event in order to ask specific questions about the author’s writing style and experiences.
