Are You Subluxated?

Chiropractic facilitates the correction of vertebral subluxation just like brushing your teeth facilitates clean and strong oral hygiene.

“A subluxation is the condition of a vertebra that has lost its proper juxtaposition with the one above or the one below or both; to an extent less than luxation which occludes an opening, impinges nerves and interferes with the transmission of mental impulses.” - R.W. Stephenson.

Are you subluxated? Or do you think you have proper alignment in all 20 plus joints in your spine? What about your kids? The simple way to determine whether or not you’re subluxated is by visiting your chiropractor and allowing them to check your spine for vertebral subluxation.

Vertebral subluxation is as common as plaque is in dental hygiene. Everyone, including infants and children have the chance of being subluxated, as long as you’re living with an element of stress that affects your life.

For example, just eating food can be considered a form of stress that is being introduced into your oral hygiene.  When you don’t maintain balance with the amount of stress you put into your mouth, you begin to build up plaque and even have the potential for cavities.

When you wake up in the morning and go through you normal routine, that is a form of stress being introduced to the brain and nerve system. When you don’t maintain a proper balance in your life you can lose proper juxtaposition.  One vertabrae can subluxate to either the bone above or below, causing nerve interference with the transmission of mental impulses to the entire body.

Spinal hygiene and oral hygiene have many similarities. When you realize that everyone has vertebral subluxation, you will then realize that the sole objective of chiropractic is to enable the body to function properly. Chiropractic facilitates the correction of vertebral subluxation just like brushing your teeth facilitates clean and strong oral hygiene.

If you haven’t had your spine or your child’s spine checked for vertebral subluxation on a regular basis then you may be  lacking proper spinal hygiene. Remember, chiropractic is for everybody. When was the last time you asked your friends and family whether they’re subluxated?
