FREE Ballroom Dance Lessons & Dancing!

Hi, and welcome back! Or maybe welcome back to me- I haven't updated my blog for awhile! We have been so busy teaching dance lessons and organizing events, that now it's time to invite you to the next ones so you have time to plan!

I own Dance and Entertainment (formerly Tropical Ballroom), with my husband James. We moved out of our studio a few months ago to be able to teach at multiple locations including Central Park in Woodbury. One of our next big events coming up is our 2nd Annual FREE Outdoor Summer Dance Series. Thanks to the approval and co-sponsorship by the City of Woodbury Parks and Recreation program, I have hired 5 bands for our 5 Tuesday nights in July- Outdoor Summer Dance Series! James and I will teach a free dance lesson each week, followed by open dancing to live music! We have themed each week differently (Ballroom, Latin, Swing, Country, and Old-time music), and every week will provide a wide variety for dancing. This is a FREE, open-to-the-public event. No RSVP is needed; just show up at the Ojibway Park bandshell: 2695 Ojibway Drive, Woodbury. (In case of rain, it would then move indoor to Central Park's amphitheater). Here is the schedule:

Tuesday, July 2 "Ballroom & Latin Night" 6:30-7:00pm Cha-Cha lesson by James & Tricia Wood. 7:00-9:00pm dancing to Pizzazz Jazz band!
Tuesday, July 9 "Old-time Night" 6:30-7:00pm Polka lesson by James & Tricia Wood. 7:00-9:00pm dancing to the Hank Thunander Band!
Tuesday, July 16 "Ballroom Night" 6:30-7:00pm Foxtrot lesson by James & Tricia Wood. 7:00-9:00pm dancing to Tim Patrick and His Blue Eyes Band!
Tuesday, July 23 "Country Night" 6:30-7:00pm Country 2-Step lesson by James & Tricia Wood. 7:00-9:00pm dancing to the Dixie Hicks Band!
Tuesday, July 30 "Swing Night" 6:30-7:00pm Swing lesson by James & Tricia Wood. 7:00-9:00pm dancing to the Red Rock Swing Band!
