Sen. Al Franken, along with Woodbury Mayor Mary Giuliani Stephens and other officials, will be on hand for the event, set for 10 a.m. Saturday, March 24, at the Garden Gate Development, 596 Gateway Place, along Settlers Ridge Parkway south of Hudson Road.

The program is free and open to the public. Lunch will be provided by the homebuyer families.

      Original story:

Dozens of area volunteers came together to help build the townhomes. Woodbury has more Habitat for Humanity homes than any metro area city outside Minneapolis and St. Paul, officials told Patch last August when the structures were being built. The helped recruit volunteers and promote the Habitat for Humanity work.
