Woodbury Dad to Speak at Patriot Ride This Saturday in Honor of His Son

Thousands will gather at Ham Lake for the fund raiser as Ken Drevnick speaks in memory of his son, Daniel, who was killed in Iraq almost five years ago. Learn more about the event.

Ken Drevnick of Woodbury will be speaking at the 9th annual Patriot Ride this Saturday, June 14, at Ham Lake. He is a Gold Star Family member and will be speaking to honor his son, Daniel Drevnick, who was killed in action almost five years ago in Iraq.

Join more than 3,000 motorcycle riders on Saturday, June 14th in the 9th

The Patriot Ride, sponsored by Dennis Kirk and presented by the Minnesota Patriot Guard, will feature more than 3,000 motorcycle riders in an all-day event for riders and non-riders who want to celebrate the contributions of military personnel.

A variety of food and drinks, live entertainment, a motorcycle and cash raffle, bike show and much more will be featured.

Money raised will benefit the Minnesota Patriot Guard, The Warrior Guard Foundation and Minnesotans’ Military Appreciation Fund.

Other guest speakers include:

  • Mike Ritland, the founder of The Warrior Dog Foundation who will share his experiences with K-9 Military dogs and helping them transition to civilian life after their service. He will bring his dog, Rico and speak about his book, Trident K-9 Warriors.
  • Lt. Larry Yatch, a retired Navy SEAL who is the founder and CEO of Sealed Mindset, a personal protection program that offers firearms protection and self-defense programs.
  • Jon Jensen, commander of the 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team headquartered out of Bloomington, MN, who serves as the Director of Joint Staff at the Minnesota National Guard Joint Force Headquarters. Jensen has completed tours in Kuwait, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Iraq.

Parachute jumpers from Patriot Parachute Team with a tandem Minnesota Wounded Warrior will land during the opening ceremonies. Live music will be performed by Emerson Ave.

MMAF is a statewide fundraising initiative by the citizens of Minnesota for Minnesota military personnel and their families. MMAF is a non-partisan, volunteer-run, nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation formed to raise money to provide cash grants as a “thank you” to all Minnesota military personnel who have served in a combat zone since September 2001. With a goal of more than 90 percent of collected funds going directly to eligible Minnesota armed forces, MMAF seeks to show troops how much Minnesotans appreciate and respect their service to our country.
