Woodbury Days Seeks Businesses, Volunteers

There is still time for people to sign up for the Business Fair or help out at the event, set for Aug. 26-28.

Woodbury Days 2011 is approaching, and organizers are still seeking businesses to participate the fair and volunteers to help coordinate the events.

This year’s will run from Aug. 26-28 at . Hours will be 4-9 p.m. on Friday; 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday; and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Activities at this year’s Woodbury Days include musical entertainment, carnival rides, games, bike ride, car show, petting zoo and numerous children’s activities. Top musical acts include 8 Foot 4, performing Friday evening, and The Dweebs, whose Saturday night performance will be followed by fireworks. Business Fair

With more than 30,000 people expected for Woodbury Days, organizers say the Business Fair is a great way to meet potential customers. It is open to both Woodbury and non-Woodbury businesses, with booth space rental starting at $225. Exhibitors wishing to participate may rent electricity, tables, tents and chairs in addition to the space rental.

Volunteers

The Woodbury Days Council—an all-volunteer group that coordinates the community’s annual celebration at Ojibway Park—is looking for volunteers. 

The group is in need of several people to help out during the three-day event. Individual volunteers must be 15 years of age or older. Families are welcome to volunteer to work together as a group, as are local organizations.

All volunteers will receive a Woodbury Days T-shirt and a packet of gift certificates and goodies from several area businesses.
