Holiday Traditions Come to Life this Week in Woodbury

Warm up with some holiday fun around Woodbury this week.

With just a fortnight until the big night, holiday happenings are in full swing this week in Woodbury.

Kick it off tonight with an invitation to Five Oaks Women's Ministry annual Traditional Christmas event. Join them for a casual evening of music, food and traditions. The group  will reminisce and remember the reason we celebrate Christmas. Tickets are $10 each. Residents and guests can register online

Also tonight, help a Woodbury family assist a man they met recently who could use a real lift.

Carlos lives in Lima, Peru.  An injury two and a halfyears ago cost him the use of his right leg.  A Woodbury family recently met him on a mission trip and wants to help him receive the knee replacement surgery that will restore the use of his leg.  Wayback Burgers is hosting an event to help raise money for Carlos' surgery.  A portion of the proceeds that night will go to help fund this life-changing operation for Carlos.  Please come any time from 5 to 8 p.m. and enjoy dinner at a fun, new restaurant in Woodbury while contributing to a great cause.

Later this week, Woodbury Lutheran Church and Preschool will be hosting its annual bake sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. both December 11 and 12 in the Genesis Lobby at the church.

Items include Christmas Bakery, Tastefully Simple, Thirty-One Gifts, Scentsy, Pampered Chef and more!

Bake  sale proceeds will be used to purchase early education classroom
materials, children's special needs equipment and books for the children
of Woodbury Lutheran Preschool and Kindergarten.
