Monday: Wind Chill Warning Issued for Woodbury

Wind chills on Monday are predicted near or below -40 °F.

From eastern Minnesota into western Wisconsin, winds gusting to 40 mph will create plenty of blowing and drifting snow as well, just not the blizzard conditions like farther west.

Another "polar vortex" has descended upon parts of the Midwest. 

The National Weather Service in Chanhassen issued a wind chill warning and a winter weather advisory for Washington County and the Twin Cities metro area. The wind chill warning is in effect until Tuesday afternoon.

Winds clocked at more than 30 mph are expected Monday, with gusts up to 55 mph. 

Because of the arctic blast, the South Washington County School District canceled classes on Monday.
