Meander In St. Paul or Party Like An Alien: Regional Weekender

Three things to do in the Twin Cities area include holiday music concerts on Saturday.

The Phipps Center for the Arts Chorus will present two holiday concerts on Saturday, Dec. 7. “The popular chorus welcomes the holidays with a variety of selections to cheer hearts, brighten nights, and put all in a festive holiday mood,” according to the Phipps website. Performances will be at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tickets are $22 for adults and $15 for students and children. The Phipps Center for the Arts is located at 109 Locust St., Hudson, WI.

The Soap Factory is hosting an outer space-themed party at 9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7. “Jackie Beckey of Brute Heart and Christopher Allen of Bedlam Theatre host this multimedia DJ dance party in an interactive space-themed environment,” according to soapfactory.org. Admission is $8; you can buy tickets at the door or in advance. The Soap Factory is located at 514 Second St. SE, Minneapolis, MN.

The Grand Avenue Business Association (GABA) is hosting the Grand Meander on Saturday, Dec. 7, on Grand Avenue in St. Paul. The GABA website says at the event you can “pick out your Christmas tree, have breakfast with Santa, hear Elizabethan carolers meander from store to store, and hop on a classic trolley and ride the 20-block length of Grand Avenue.” The website has a complete schedule of events.
