Weekend Events: Woodbury’s Big Truck Day

The event will be held in the parking lot at Central Park.

Big Truck Day is set for 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, in the parking lot of Woodbury’s Central Park.

There are a few new additions this year, including a farm tractor and U.S. Mail truck, which will join the fire truck, semi, emergency vehicles, snowplow and other big vehicles typically found at the event, said Chad Lubbers, manager of the R.H. Stafford Library in Woodbury.

The event will also feature story time with a firefighter and Curious George and Little Critter.

The Teddy Bear Band will perform, as well.

“There’s more dancing at the event than you’ll ever see at the library,” Lubbers said. “Bring your dancing shoes, kids.”

People are encouraged to come early; 400-500 people usually turn out for Big Truck Day, Lubbers said.
