Staging Tips for Sellers

Prepare your home for the sale. We will evaluate the current state of your property and arrange home staging ideas to help show your home’s full potential during our pre-list appointment with our clients. We evaluate any repairs or improvements needed to maximize your home’s value and appeal will be identified and scheduled. Here are some of ideas that tend to get overlooked.

Entry way - Always have a bench for people to sit down. Coat hangers should be removed. If you don’t have enough closet space in the front of the home, don’t advertise it. Show the buyer what you have, not what you don’t have.

Closets - Seasonal items only. Remove all items from the floor to show how large the space is. Stack as high to the ceiling as you would like.

Kitchens - Clean the countertops and remove all items. Hand towels should be removed from any appliance handrails. Hand towels can be folded and placed next to the sink on the countertop. No Hand soap. Liquid soap is less invasive for a buyer. If you have glass doors for your cabinets, place a color dish behind the glass. Color stands out more than crystal.

Bathrooms - Use a tote for all your toiletries. Do not leave shampoo or toothbrushes out, as buyers fixate on these items. With clutter removed, a buyer doing a quick look into the shower will notice the shower, the tile, and the shower head. Toilet seats down, fresh flowers, towel, and liquid soap should be placed in the room.
