Dr. Marko Kamel is a board-certified dentist who specializes in preventive, corrective and cosmetic dentistry in the Twin Cities suburb of Woodbury. After growing up in a Christian Orthodox home to an Egyptian father and an Italian mother in Egypt, he took an interest in dentistry. Dr. Kamel qualified as a Doctor of Dental Surgery after attending and graduating from the University of Cairo, Egypt School of Dentistry in 2000. He then came to the U.S. to continue his post-graduate studies at the UCLA School of Dentistry between 2000 and 2002. <br><br>Dr. Kamel became a general dental practitioner in 2002 when he was certified with the Minnesota Dental Board. He also completed a university-based certificate program in contemporary restorative and esthetic dentistry, at which time he began concentrating on cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Kamel is a member of the <a href="http://www.ada.org/">American Dental Association</a>, the <a href="http://www.mndental.org/">Minnesota Dental Association</a> and the prestigious <a href="http://www.aacd.com/">American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry</a>. <br><br>Today, after nearly a decade of working as a dentist in east central Minnesota, he and his wife, Nevin, remain in Minnesota where they raise their two sons, Anthony and Carlos. Though his wife is also a dentist, she spends her days raising their sons as an active school volunteer and excellent homemaker. In their free time, Dr. Kamel and his wife enjoy family time together playing soccer with their two boys and weekending to Wisconsin Dells and Northern Minnesota.
