Woodbury Husband, Father Dies after Fight With ALS
Scott Andrew Stafne, age 40, faithful son, husband, father and friend, courageously died of ALS Thursday, February 7, 2013. Services for Scott are set for Friday.
Scott Andrew Stafne, Woodbury, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013 after a more than eight-year battle with ALS, or "Lou Gehrig's disease." He was 40 years old. Scott was born May 10, 1972 to Gerry and Judy Stafne of Cottage Grove. He graduated from Park High School in 1990 and the University of Minnesota in 1995 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 2002, he married his wife Kirsten, who loved and cared for him gracefully. Upon his diagnosis with ALS in 2004, Scott “retired” from an information technology career and devoted himself to his passion for writing and filmmaking. Kristen, I found this because my husband is dying from ALS also. He was diagnosed 01/2010. He is 44 and we have 3 young kids. I watched the video. It's brilliant! I tried to get my husband to leave a similar legacy, but it was too painful for him. You had a Love Warrior as a husband!
