Phase 1 for Phase 2: New Development Plans for Woodbury
The Woodbury City Council got a look at the proposed Bailey Lake development during Wednesday night’s meeting.
The journey toward 6,000 new homes in Woodbury begins with a single step. Or maybe a single 40-acre parcel with 98 homes. Bailey Lake represents the first development application for Woodbury’s so-called Phase 2, a portion of which the city recently opened up for development. The Woodbury City Council on Wednesday approved several measures that move the project forward. “That’s a big milestone,” Mayor Mary Giuliani Stephens said following the council’s unanimous approval. Ryland Homes, in conjunction with Woodbury-Tandem Limited Partnership, plans two phases of development in the area (see map). The first is the 40-acre, 98-home development; the second, south of the first, is a 60-acre parcel where developers are planning 209 new homes. …
