Best Buy Offers Free Gift Card Blitz and Lunch to Select Customers Friday Only

Best Buy in Oakdale will be giving away free gift cards and lunch to the first 200 customers during a two-hour window.

Best Buy in Oakdale is offering shoppers a couple of incentives to visit their store on Friday. The first 200 customers to visit Best Buy in Oakdale between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Friday will receive a mystery gift card valued between $10-$250. Plus, customers will also be able to enjoy a free lunch from one of the city’s most popular food trucks — courtesy of Best Buy. The first 200 customers will receive vouchers inside the store and the Gastrotruck will be parked outside to provide lunch. "Every year we do different things, but this particular event is new," said Maggie Habashy, a spokeswoman for Best Buy. "We are super excited about this though!" Best Buy in Oakdale is celebrating its grand re-opening with several special events planned for Saturday.

Best Buy in Oakdale is inviting residents to check out its revamped store this weekend.  Best Buy is hosting its grand re-opening on Saturday in Oakdale and three other Twin Cities locations, including Apple Valley, Minnetonka and Burnsville. The stores each have new features and designs which allow for a more interactive and accessible shopping experience, according to a press release.  Best Buy’s new store concept offers a new way to shop for technology, allowing consumers to touch, feel, compare and play with technology. Best Buy Mobile Store to Open in Woodbury

The electronics giant expects the store to open in October.

Best Buy officials on Monday confirmed that the electronics giant is planning to open a Best Buy Mobile store in Woodbury. The new store is scheduled to open in Tamarack Village in October, a company official told Patch. Best Buy Mobile stores offer a wide range of mobile devices—phones, tablets, eReaders, ultrabooks, MP3 products and related accessories—and sell products from nine carriers. Technical support is also available, and Best Buy Mobile employees receive a minimum of 80 hours of training and “ongoing education on mobile phone technology, applications and trends to help customers make the most of their mobile,” according to a fact sheet provided by Best Buy.
