The following information was obtained from recent police reports. A woman staying at the Red Roof Inn with her boyfriend called police because he was drunk and trying to leave with their child. He was upset because he discovered her talking to another man on her cell phone. Police made contact with the man, who showed several signs of intoxication. An officer gave him a ride to a friend’s house in Cottage Grove. A man saw two teenagers with flashlights looking into cars, and they fled toward Tamarack Hills when he opened the door of his home. Police searched the area but did not find the teens. There was no evidence they were able to commit a crime. The following information was obtained from recent police reports. A resident contacted police about a neighbor “burning things that should not be burned.” Police learned that other city officials were handling the matter. A verbal argument broke out between two men in the Wal-Mart parking lot. One had left by the time officers arrived, and police found that one man was upset because the other had parked in a slot reserved for bank parking. Employees at Rainbow Foods contacted police about an unattended suitcase and duffel bag outside the entrance. Inside the luggage police found a bottle of Ambien and items from the Red Roof Inn. Police checked motel records and found that the owner of the items had checked out earlier that day. Workers …

The following information was obtained from recent police reports. A woman at the 7800 block of Rimbley Road yelled at a neighbor and called him an “old pedophile.” The man wanted the incident documented and the woman went inside and refused to speak with police about the matter. Police were called to the Valley Creek Plaza Target on a report that a man was standing at an entrance “huffing” from cans. He was staggering around inside and outside the store. Officers arrived and found him passed out with several cans in his hands; others were on the ground. Police learned he had several warrants out for his arrest, and he also had numerous citations in his pockets for trespassing, theft and substance abuse. He regained consciousness, was …

The following information was obtained from recent police reports. Tailpipes and scrapers (valued at nearly $1,500 together) were reported stolen from two dump trucks at a construction site at Bailey Road and Mile Drive. Workers at St. Croix Cleaners called police after someone dropped off a coat with blood and dirt on it. Police made contact with the coat’s owner, who said she and her husband were jumped by a group of men while at Club Cancun on April 14. She had visible injuries and a report was on file with the St. Paul Police Department. Two people were arrested near Interstate 94 and Radio Drive after reports of suspicious situations at Home Depot and JCPenney led police to pull over their car. Keyed Up, Canoe Caper, Wolf Cry?: Woodbury Police Blotter

The following information was obtained from recent police reports. A resident at the 1200 block of Paddock Trail reported that a 12-foot canoe had been stolen from beneath the deck of her home. The theft apparently happened during the fall, and she told police she did not know who would want to steal the canoe. A worker at Applebee’s reported that a drunken man walked out without paying his tab. Police were able to contact the Newport man, who said he should not be drinking at all because of his medication, and he simply forgot to pay, and planned to go back and settle the bill. A security guard at Woodbury Lakes reported two people at Victoria's Secret who smelled strongly of marijuana. They were gone by the time police arrived. A …

The following information was obtained from recent police reports. After being called about a suspicious man near the intersection of Eyrie and Golf drives, police learned that he was geocaching. A $300 bicycle was reported stolen from Woodbury Lutheran Church. The bike had been locked to a pole at the church. A report of mail fraud involving stolen checks and possibly pornographic photos was forwarded to the Woodbury Police Department’s investigations unit. A drunken man located near Tahoe and Lake roads had nowhere to go, and he was transported to Ramsey County detox without incident. The following information was obtained from recent police reports. Officers responded to an apartment building where two roommates were arguing. One was planning to file a restraining order against the other. A resident called police because a man took a laptop out of his bag and placed it on a table at Starbucks, then went out to his truck and got more equipment and moved to a different table. Police contacted employees, who said no police response was necessary. A worker at Burger King called police after a man was yelling at two juvenile females because they had apparently spilled water on him. The man threatened another family, got into his car and left. The following information was obtained from recent police reports. Police were called about a squatter at an apartment building at the 10200 block of City Walk Drive. A man had been living in the hallways for a few days after his former girlfriend kicked him out of a unit. He was trespassed from the building and officers gave him a ride to Hudson so he could make contact with his mother, who lives in Wisconsin. A resident at a Donegal Drive townhome complex called police after a tow truck had his vehicle hooked up and was told by the driver that it would cost $100 to drop the car. The driver said he has a contract with the property and is told to drive through and tow cars parked in no-parking zones. The car owner paid the $100 and the car…

The following information was obtained from recent police reports. Police were called about a garage burglary on Collingwood Lane. A resident reported that $770 worth of tools had been stolen. A registration check at the Red Roof Inn showed a man who had a warrant out for his arrest in Washington County. Police apprehended the man without incident and he was transported to the Washington County Jail. A couple asked police to contact a woman after seeing her vehicle parked across two stalls in the lot at Target. A woman told police that a male employee came into her tanning room at Xperience Fitness while she was nude on a tanning bed. Drunk at Work, Neighbor Prevents Burglary, Mail Mystery: Woodbury Police Blotter

The following information was obtained from recent police reports. A resident called police about a man at the 6000 block of Lake Road who went up to a house, tried the doors, and then tried to flag down vehicles. Police located the man, who said he was lost and stopped to ask for help. A Wal-Mart manager flagged down an officer at about 7:45 p.m. after an employee showed up for work drunk. The manager sent the worker home for the day but saw him walking toward his vehicle. Police made contact with the man, who showed signs of intoxication, admitted to drinking, performed poorly on field-sobriety tests, and registered a .203 on a preliminary breath test.
