Dog Maced, Cultural Underwear Misunderstanding, ‘Tagging’ Cars: Woodbury Police Blotter

Selected calls to the Woodbury Public Safety Department from Feb. 26 through March 3.

The following information was obtained from recent police reports. A resident who received several phone calls from a person requesting cash was advised not to send any and use *67 to get the number and forward it to police. A home at the 900 block of Autumn Drive, which had been vacant for months, had a light on inside, and a resident called police about it. Officers determined an attorney for the estate may have entered the home. Police were called about a domestic dispute at the 2400 block of Cobble Hill Alcove. Both parties denied a physical assault occurred, but neither said they would leave the home. They eventually agreed to stay in separate areas of the residence and go to sleep. Sidewalk Drive DWI, Bathroom Mystery, Shower Shriek: Woodbury Police Blotter

Selected calls to the Woodbury Public Safety Department from Feb. 19-26.

The following information was obtained from recent police reports. A resident at the 7100 block of Foxboro Lane North reported that a pet-entry door on a door of her home had been damaged while she was out of town. A resident reported that there were several wolves in the Stonemill Farms neighborhood. Police were called to a home on Springbook Place on a report of a burglary in progress—a resident reported seeing a masked burglar dressed in black inside the house. However, there was no sign of forced entry and no evidence a burglary had occurred. Police interviewed the resident later, and she admitted she may not have seen a burglar, but came home and a door was unsecured and she got scared, and didn’t expect such a large police response, …

Pizza Man Delivers Woman, Ice Twice, Scooter Scammer: Woodbury Police Blotter

The following information was obtained from recent police reports. A Woodbury teacher who keeps in touch with a former student called police after seeing threatening messages on his Facebook page, apparently related to a post-secondary course he was taking. He had missed two classes and was dropped, costing him $2,000. Police made contact with the man, who said there were no problems. Woodbury police and fire crews responded to Battle Creek Lake at about 9:30 a.m. after a report that someone had fallen through the ice. Officials determined no one actually went through the ice. Indecent Exposure, Car Sabotage, Suspicious Shoveling: Woodbury Police Blotter

The following information was obtained from recent police reports. A burning smell reported at LeeAnn Chin was possibly a burned transformer, but not a fire. Police were called about a likely theft at SuperAmerica. A woman came in and pre-paid for $5 worth of gas, then milled around in the store for about 15 minutes. When she left, she yelled out to an older woman at the car, “Mom, I hope you pre-paid.” Employees later learned she had stolen a bag of dog food. She may have also stolen a lighter, candy and trinkets. Officers advised workers and a customer at Car Care that a dispute over a vehicle was a civil issue. The following information was obtained from recent police reports. An $8,000 trailer that was stolen from a construction site at the 1600 block of Deephaven Drive turned up at a park in Anoka County, along with another stolen vehicle out of Vadnais Heights. About $20,000 in equipment was reported missing from the trailer. A home had its garage service door broken down but nothing was missing from the home. The battery of a Ford Taurus parked at Outback Steakhouse was stolen. A vehicle stolen out of Hudson, Wis., turned up at the 500 block of Gateway Place. Going ‘Nuts’ Over Parking Space, Stolen Safe, Snowball Fight: Woodbury Police Blotter

The following information was obtained from recent police reports. A man reported that his vehicle, parked at the Woodbury 10 Theatre, had been keyed. He said he accidentally parked in two spaces and assumed it was retaliation. A Hudson Bay resident reported that the front door of his townhome was kicked in and a safe was stolen from a bedroom closet. A woman reported being followed in a road rage incident. She was going southbound on Manning Avenue and the other car followed her toward the Stonemill Farms neighborhood before turning off.
