Blotter: Vehicle Break-ins, Road Rage, Threats

The police responded to the following select reports from Jan. 13-18.

The following information was obtained from recent police reports. The window of a locked vehicle at the 1100 block of Autumn Drive was broken on Jan. 13 and a backpack containing books and a computer hard drive was reported stolen. Employees at EcoWater Systems in Woodbury called police on Jan. 13 to report that a worker there had been making false allegations in the workplace. The employee accused of making the allegations also told a coworker to “watch your back.” The owner of Rocco’s Pizza told police on Jan. 13 that a female customer staying at the Red Roof Inn had passed bad checks with the Woodbury restaurant. Police responded a rollover accident with injures at Interstate 94 and Radio Drive on Jan. 13. The driver sustained minor …

Police Blotter: Thefts, Break-ins and Argument Over Parking Space

Police had a relatively quiet New Year's Eve, with just one DWI and one underage drinking citation.

Police were called to the 2700 block of Mallard Drive on Dec. 30 on a report that a UPS package containing a yoga mat and carrier had been stolen. A woman had previously noticed footprints in the snow near her home but didn’t think much of it at the time. She told police the footprints could be from the person who stole the package. The rear passenger-side window of a Honda parked at the Bielenberg Sports Complex on Dec. 30 was broken and a nylon laptop bag and wallet were stolen from the vehicle.  Police were called to the 800 block of Moonlight Drive on Dec. 30 after a man said that the garage door to his ex-wife’s home was off its tracks. He suspected there might have been an attempted break-in, but police found nothing missing. It …
