Woodbury police in January were granted a 60-day warrant to place a GPS monitor a suspected burglar’s car. The vehicle later that month made several short stops at Woodbury homes during early-morning hours, and two residents later reported vehicle break-ins. Now, John David Callinan, 30, of Oakdale, faces two felony burglary charges. The door of a home at the 3000 block of Frontier Drive was broken during an apparent burglary Wednesday afternoon in Woodbury. Police got the call at about 1:30 p.m., and the homeowner had a feeling that the suspect may have still been in the home, leading to a “heightened response” that included a K-9 unit being called in, said Public Safety spokeswoman Michelle Okada. Detectives were investigating the incident Wednesday, May 8, she said, and further details of the crime weren’t immediately available. Police were still in the area as of 3:40 p.m., a witness told Patch. The home is in Woodbury’s Heritage Park neighborhood. A Woodbury man faces a second-degree burglary charge after he allegedly broke into a home while he was naked. Scott Jeffrey Rowell, 35, faces up to 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine stemming from the Nov. 27, 2012, incident at a home on Hillingdon Road. According to the criminal complaint: The homeowner—a woman who was home with her four children (all under the age of 7)—called police to report that a naked man had broken into her home. A Woodbury man was recently sentenced on a burglary conviction after he stole several items from New Life Church and Academy in August 2011. James Howard Smith, 30, had a 21-month prison sentence stayed and was placed on probation for five years on the grounds that he remain law abiding and have no contact with the institution, among other conditions. Woodbury police the evening of Aug. 19, 2011, were dispatched to New Life Church and Academy on a report that someone was inside the building. Officers searched the complex and made contact with an employee, who told them he saw a man inside the school who ran away. The following information was obtained from recent police reports. A resident called police about a man at the 6000 block of Lake Road who went up to a house, tried the doors, and then tried to flag down vehicles. Police located the man, who said he was lost and stopped to ask for help. A Wal-Mart manager flagged down an officer at about 7:45 p.m. after an employee showed up for work drunk. The manager sent the worker home for the day but saw him walking toward his vehicle. Police made contact with the man, who showed signs of intoxication, admitted to drinking, performed poorly on field-sobriety tests, and registered a .203 on a preliminary breath test. The following information was obtained from recent police reports. A resident at the 7100 block of Foxboro Lane North reported that a pet-entry door on a door of her home had been damaged while she was out of town. A resident reported that there were several wolves in the Stonemill Farms neighborhood. Police were called to a home on Springbook Place on a report of a burglary in progress—a resident reported seeing a masked burglar dressed in black inside the house. However, there was no sign of forced entry and no evidence a burglary had occurred. Tashney Seiger, 18, said she came downstairs after showering and noticed it was cold. A back patio door was open and the drapes were blowing into the home, at the 600 block of Eagle Ridge Road.
