Snapshot: New Store Going in at CityWalk in Woodbury

Construction is underway next to Mattress Firm.

A new AT&T store is set to occupy a new building being constructed next to the Mattress Firm at CityWalk in Woodbury, multiple workers at the site told Patch. Several attempts to obtain additional information—from building management and AT&T—were unsuccessful. There is an existing AT&T store at Woodbury Lakes. It’s doing “very well,” according to Laurie Mordorski, marketing director at Woodbury Lakes. Woodbury’s Wild Child Hair Marks Fifth Anniversary

The hair studio for children is located at CityWalk.

Wild Child Hair is celebrating its five-year anniversary. Dan and Melissa Fink own the kid’s hair salon, located in Woodbury’s CityWalk development. Patch asked Melissa about the business—which will mark the occasion with discounted cuts and cupcakes on Saturday—and the milestone. Woodbury Patch: Tell us about the beginnings of Wild Child Hair. New Business Going in at CityWalk in Woodbury

Waxing the City has signed a lease to open in the former City Walk Dental location.

A new waxing salon is planning to open in the former City Walk Dental space. Waxing the City has signed a lease to occupy the location, at the 10000 block of City Walk Drive, Dawn Richardson, property manager for CityWalk, told Patch. She wasn’t sure when it’s planning to open, but crews were doing work there on Tuesday.        Related: What Should Go Here? Construction at CityWalk in Woodbury: Readers React

Patch has received plenty of questions about the work at Hudson Road and Woodbury Drive.

A new Mattress Firm store is being built at CityWalk in Woodbury. Crews last week who were working at the site—at the southwest corner of Hudson Road and Woodbury Drive—said the structure would be completed by Oct. 31. Here’s a previous city memo on the plans. A worker at the existing Mattress Firm store didn’t know about the construction and directed Patch to the company’s corporate headquarters in Texas. A phone call seeking comment was not returned.
