Positive Reviews for Woodbury? ‘Understatement of Colossal Proportions’

The Woodbury City Council on Wednesday got the results from the 2013 community survey.

The litany of “good” and “excellent” reviews of city services that came from the 2013 community survey may have been best summed up thusly: To say people have positive feelings about Woodbury would be an “understatement of colossal proportions,” said Bill Morris, president of Decision Resources, the company that conducted Woodbury’s survey and does so for several other metro area cities. The Woodbury City Council heard the results from the biannual survey during its meeting Wednesday night. Decision Resources conducted telephone interviews with 400 Woodbury residents in February, asking about everything from stoplights and roundabouts to housing options and public safety and how much more in taxes people would be willing to pay for a water…

Survey Results, Five Oaks Sign, Roadwork: Woodbury Council Preview

The Woodbury City Council meets at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, at City Hall.

If the results from the previous community survey are any indication, the Woodbury City Council is in for some good news Wednesday night. Decision Resources officials are set to present the results from the 2013 community survey during the council meeting. The company in February conducted telephone questionnaires with 400 Woodbury residents. In 2011, the results from the biannual survey were clear: “People just have good feelings about the city,” Dan Morris, president of Decision Resources, told the council at the time. Morris is once again expected to present the findings, which are meant to aid in the council’s decision-making at an April 23 strategic-panning session. The council, staff and members of city commissions developed the 145-…

Survey Says: ‘People Just Have Good Feelings’ About Woodbury

The Woodbury City Council heard the results of its biannual survey of residents on Wednesday.

You’ve probably figured it out by now: Woodbury is a pretty decent place to live. The Woodbury City Council on Wednesday got the results from its biannual community survey, which showed that for the most part residents are pleased with the direction of the city. Decision Resources has conducted the survey for several years, and again polled 400 households about everything from city services to more specific items like an outdoor water park (and what type of tax increase people would support to fund the project). “Most folks are pretty pleased with what’s going on,” said Bill Morris, president of Decision Resources. He reported that most people have a “high reservoir of goodwill toward decision-makers.” “People just have good feelings about…

Woodbury Works Toward 2011 Community Survey

City gets “pulse” of the community through biannual 150-question survey of 400 random Woodbury residents.

Want to see a new aquatics center in Woodbury? You might be asked to chime in on that and other issues facing the city this February through the city’s biannual community survey. The Woodbury City Council went over the 150-question survey during a workshop Wednesday night, tweaking several questions and eliminating some altogether. The city has conducted a community survey every two years since 1993, said Matt Stemwedel, assistant to the city administrator. The survey is conducted by Minneapolis-based Decision Resources, which calls 400 random Woodbury residents to obtain the results. Questions about the aquatics center have been part of the survey for several years and are used to gauge the community’s interest in those types of programs…
