Updated: Weather Permitting, Woodbury to Begin Spring Maintenance Soon

Public Works crews are expected to begin street sweeping and hydrant flushing later this month.

Updated: 4:40 p.m., Wednesday, April 24 The city sent out an update Wednesday: Street sweeping is now tentatively scheduled to begin Monday, May 13, with hydrant flushing beginning once streets are swept. As always, this date is subject to change in the case of inclement weather. Original story Woodbury plans to begin spring maintence activities with street sweeping on April 22. Weather permitting, of course. The Public Works Department expects street sweeping to begin later this month. Once that’s complete, crews will begin hydrant flushing, according to a release from the city. Prior to street sweeping, residents are asked to sweep or shovel materials from their boulevards into the roadway. This will help ensure crews can remove sand …

Brief: Crews to Replace Siren Wednesday at Evergreen East Park in Woodbury

The Woodbury Public Safety Department posted the announcement via Facebook.

Crews will be replacing a siren and pole at Evergreen East Park today, Wednesday, Jan. 23. The Woodbury Public Safety Department posted the announcement on its Facebook page: EVERGREEN EAST PARK Ready Watt Electric is in Woodbury today at Evergreen East Park (1250 Radio Drive). They will be removing the old siren and pole and replacing it with new equipment. The company expects to complete this replacement project by the end of the day.
