Woodbury Man Hospitalized in Dale Road Car Crash

The incident happened at about 7:15 a.m. Tuesday morning.

A Woodbury man was hospitalized Tuesday following a single-car crash on Dale Road. The 60-year-old was traveling westbound on Dale Road when he apparently lost control of the Honda and crashed into a tree and utility pole, said Scott Melander, traffic officer with the Woodbury Public Safety Department. There was “significant damage to the vehicle,” he said, but the extent of the driver’s injuries were unknown at about noon on Tuesday. The call came in at 7:16 a.m., Melander said, and the ground was dry at the time of the crash, which occurred at the 8600 block of Dale Road. The man was traveling alone. There are indications the man swerved, but the cause of the crash remains under investigation, Melander said.   Like Patch on Facebook | …

The Woodbury Fire Department got the call a little after 11:30 a.m., and firefighters were on the scene six minutes later. The fire was out in about seven minutes, Wallgren said. The heat inside the two-stall garage, which has no windows, expanded the air and pushed out the bay doors and a support beam. Some of the equipment inside was melted…
