A Woodbury man faces a felony domestic assault by strangulation charge after he allegedly choked his girlfriend during a March domestic incident, after which he apparently urinated on some of her possessions. Jeffrey Michael Barrett, 33, “snapped” and accused his girlfriend of cheating on him with another man, then threw her on the floor of her Woodbury apartment, ripped out chunks of her hair and strangled her to the point that she couldn’t breathe, according to the criminal complaint. An Oakdale man suspected of whipping his 2-year-old son was booked in Washington County Jail last week for another crime involving the boy's mother. Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Hallmark Circle North on Dec. 7 regarding a domestic assault report and possible child abuse. President Pimpin Austin, 21, of Oakdale, allegedly assaulted a 22-year-old Oakdale woman, who is also the mother of Austin's two children. The woman told police that Austin kicked and punched her in the side and punched her in the head. Police saw visible signs of injury, according to the police report. A 24-year-old St. Paul man was convicted of felony domestic violence charges after he grabbed a Woodbury woman by the neck in March and then covered her eyes while she was driving through the Stillwater area. The bizarre and seemingly frightening incident came to an end with the pregnant woman driving in circles through the parking lot of the Washington County Law Enforcement Center while honking her vehicle’s horn.
